On Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at 11:17 PM, Upper Merion Police responded to the 200 block of Crooked Lane in the King Manor section of Upper Merion Township where a 26 year old woman had been attacked while entering her home. The woman had just arrived at her residence and exited her car. As she was about to enter her home, a lone male lunged at her, demanding her purse. The assailant stabbed the woman before running toward the street. Upper Merion Police, with the assistance of a Lower Providence Police canine unit, searched the area for the unknown medium built male but no suspect was located. Lafayette Ambulance transported the victim to Paoli Hospital where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
