KPVFC 4th Annual Food Drive to Help 93.3 WMMR’s Preston and Steve’s Campout for Hunger

KPVFC has started their 4th Annual food drive to help 93.3 WMMR’s Preston and Steve’s Campout for Hunger. If you are not familiar, Preston and Steve are the morning show hosts during the week on 93.3 WMMR. For years they have camped out at the Metroplex in Plymouth Meeting where they collect food for Philabundance. They broadcast their morning show LIVE from the tent in the parking lot and live in a RV in the lot during the week. This year the event is being held November 26th thru November 30th. KPVFC started 4 years ago with collecting food from our community to make a donation to the food drive. The past couple years, the volunteers from KPVFC have volunteered their time the Wednesday night during the week long event to help unload donations and load up the trucks with the hundreds of boxes filled with these donations. During this time, KPVFC makes their donation also.   Last year, KPVFC was able to donate close too 500 lbs of food. While this is a sizeable donation, we feel we can do better and are reaching out to more people to support our efforts. This year we will be making...

The exportation of liquefied natural gas could be the...

The Golden Age of Gas

‘Golden Age of Gas’ By Lowman S. Henry There is no doubt that development of Pennsylvania’s Marcellus Shale natural gas resources has fueled an economic boom across a wide swath of rural Pennsylvania, a region that has floundered economically for decades. But, the impact of Marcellus is being felt not only in those communities, but across Penn’s Woods and – as recent events illustrate – could actually play a global role. After much debate, the General Assembly passed a tax – deceptively called an “impact fee” – on Marcellus...
